Akira Ishida Joins Cast of Anime Psycho-Pass

The official site of the TV anime Psycho-Pass, which is slated for premiere on October 11th at Fuji TV, has released more details on the cast.

In the previous news, the official site has announced that the protagonist Shinya Kougami will be voiced by Tomokazu Seki and the heroine Akane Tsunemori will be voiced by Kana Hanazawa. The latest update has revealed the cast of of Kougami’s co-workers.

【STORY】

 

The story is set in a future world in which human thinking and even the personality can be measured numerically. All the feelings, desires, and the mental tendency are all recorded and measured by the system Psycho-Pass. The story is about the “enforcement officers”, similar with policemen in our world, whose main task is to investigate crime and chase criminals with special tools.

The “Dominator”

 

This is a special gun that only the “enforcement officers” and the comptrollers are allowed to carry. The “Dominator” is used to measure people’s criminal index. When the gun points at one person, it shows his criminal index. When the index is higher than the standard, the “Dominator” will automatically shoot him based on how much higher it reaches. On the other hand, when the index is lower than the standard, the trigger of the “Dominator” won’t work.
