K-On! Manga's High School Edition Ending in June

Earlier this month, Manga Time Kirara announced that K-On! college manga would be ending in June. Looks like the high school edition will be wrapping up at the same time. According to the July issue of Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Carat mangazine released on the 28th, the final chapter of this four panel comedy manga will be issued in the August issue in June.

The original K-On! revolves around a group of high school girls who join a band at their high school in order to save it from disbanded. It has been serialized in Houbunsha's magazine Manga Time Kirara since 2007 and was later adapted into an anime by Kyoto Animation in 2009. A second season of the anime aired in Japan in 2010, with an OVA episode released in 2011. In April 2011, the characters split into two series in two magazines. A guitar signed by the anime's voice cast was placed for auction a few days ago and the bids reached 5.56 million yen.
