Kuroko's Basketball OVA Titled 'Tip Off' Announced

Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced in its 41st issue that a "Tip Off" original video anime will be included in the 8th Blu-ray Disc/DVD volume of the Kuroko's Basketball anime. The 8th volume will have the 21st and 22nd episodes, the OVA, a special CD and three ending credits illustration cards. The volume is set to be released on February 22, 2013.

Kuroko's Basketball, a manga written and illustrated by Tadatoshi Fujimaki, started serialization in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2008. The first tankobon volume was released on April 3, 2009, and a total of 17 tankobon volumes have been published as of April 21, 2012. The manga has been adapted into an anime series, which premiered on April 7, 2012. 

Kuroko's Basketball revolves around two talented young basketball players, Taiga Kagami and Tetsuya Kuroko. Taiga, a new Seirin High School student who spent most of his middle school in America, meets Tetsuya Kuroko, the shadowy sixth member of the legendary "Generation of Miracles" basketball team. The two then aim to bring Seirin to the inter-high school championship, beating Kuroko's former teammates one by one.
