Naruto Spinoff Manga Boruto Released on May 9

The official website for the "Next Generation" of the Naruto franchise announced that Mikie Ikemoto's upcoming Boruto spinoff manga will be released in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on May 9. A new chapter will be published in this year's 23rd issue, once a month in the magzine.

Ikemoto, who is drawing Boruto, worked as an assistant under Kishimoto. Kishimoto is handling the manga and Ukyō Kodachi is in charge of the manga's script. The new manga follows the life of Boruto.

Besides, Masashi Kishimoto will publish a one-shot for his original Naruto manga in this year's combined 22nd/23rd issue on April 25.
