New Fairy Tail Novel to Release in October

A light novel based on Hiro Mashima's manga Fairy Tail is scheduled to release by Kodansha, which will be available on October 2 in Japan. Ren Kanan is the new light novel writer.

Before the end of the Tokugawa shogunate's rule in 1868 in Japan, "ōedo" or "Edo" is the historical name for the city of Tokyo.

The manga story follows adventures of the wizards who joins the great mega guild Fairy Tail. It already inspired two light novels written by Miu Kawasaki: Fairy Tail: Kokoro ni Yadoru Color in May 2012 and Fairy Tail 2: Dai Matō Enbu Sono Ato in August 2014.  

The manga also inspired two television anime, several original video anime projects, spinoff manga and a movie. The first movie, titled Fairy Tail the Movie: Phoenix Priestess, aired in Japan in 2012. The second movie is scheduled.
