Code: Breaker TV Anime Adaptation Confirmed with More Cast Members Revealed

The Weekly Shonen Magazine announced that Code: Breaker TV Anime is scheduled to air in October, 2012. The first trailer will be released on June 20.

 

The anime is directed by Yasuhiro Irie (Kurau: Phantom Memory, Fullmetal Alchemist), who's also in charge of series composition. Yukie Akitani (Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Eureka Seven) was appointed to be the animation director and character designer. It is her first time to assume those roles, which proves that the production company has faith in her. The role of assistant director falls on Masayuki Sakoi, whose previous works include Strawberry Panic!, Kaibutsu_Oujyo,  Kamen no Maid Guy and Needless. The anime will be produced by a Japanese animation studio called Kinema Citrus (Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Eiyuu Densetsu Sora no Kiseki and Higepiyo).

 

Earlier this year, three cast members (Nobuhiko Okamoto, Yoko Hikasa and Kenichi Suzumura) were revealed. The official website of the anime has recently revealed three more cast members: Kimura Subaru, Toyonaga Toshiyuki and Saiga Mitsuki. 

 

Code: Breaker, written and illustrated by Akimine Kamijyo, started serialization in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2008. The story revolves around a high school girl who is trained in martial arts and a new transfer student, a boy with mysterious powers.
