Shingeki no Kyojin Team's Kōtetsujō no Kabaneri Anime Trailers Revealed

The Kōtetsujō no Kabaneri (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress) original anime project for Fuji TV's Noitamina block released a promotional video, commercial, and key visual on Friday that revealed the staff, cast, and release window for the anime.

Tetsuro Araki (Shingeki no Kyojin) directs the anime, with scripts by Ichiro Okouchi, character designs by Haruhiko Mikimoto, composition by Hiroyuki Sawano and animation by Wit Studio. The anime will premiere on Noitamina in April, and will also get a "Kōtetsujō no Kabaneri Prologue" special that will run in Japanese theaters for one week beginning on March 18, 2016.

The "steampunk survival action" story is set on the island country Hinomoto, where humans live in Stations against the zombie-like beings with steel hearts known as "Kabane".

The cast includes:

 

Tasuku Hatanaka as Ikoma, a young steam smith from Aragane Station who develops "Tsuranuki Zutsu" weapon to defeat the kabane.

 

Sayaka Senbongi as Mumei (Nameless), a mysterious girl who seems to get special treatment from warriors, but her true colors is…

 

Maaya Uchida as Ayame, the eldest daughter of the family that governs Aragane Station.

 

Toshiki Masuda as Kurusu, a young warrior who serves Ayame's family as her personal bodyguard.

 

Yuuki Kaji as Takumi, Ikoma's friend and fellow steam smith.

 

Kanae Oki as Kajika, Ikoma and Takumi's friend and fellow steam smith.

 

Mariya Ise as Yukina, a crew member of the Hayajiro "Kōtetsujō," who transports items across Hinomoto.

 

Ryota Ohsaka as Sukari, a steam smith who lives at Aragane Station.

 

Kensuke Satou as Kibito, a warrior who serves Ayame's family.

Mamoru Miyano as a character named Biba, but no picture or information has been released.
