Naruto 696 "Naruto and Sasuke 3"Summary:
Remembering Sasuke's words during their first fight at the Valley of the End about two high class shinobi being able to convey their feelings through their fists, Naruto tries to convince Sasuke to cease fighting, but Sasuke is adamant to kill Naruto. Naruto then questions how Sasuke's revolution will guarantee that the shinobi world does not turn out the same as before to which Sasuke claims he will watch over it eternally as his reincarnations. Sasuke is under the notion that because the threat is gone, the Five Great Shinobi Countries will turn against each other again despite Naruto telling him that the nations had changed. Sasuke summons the satellites he encased each of the tailed beasts in, and begins channelling chakra from each one into his Susanoo. Self-proclaiming to be the strongest person in the world, his Susanoo begins to change into a more humanoid form, while Naruto creates three shadow clones of his Tailed Beast Mode. Sasuke easily deflects the first attack sending one of the clones plummeting to the ground. As Sasuke prepares to charge another arrow, Naruto fuses the two remaining clones into a single, three-headed, six-armed avatar. All the while the clones below gathered natural energy. With both combatants ready to fire, Naruto tells to himself that he always wanted to beat Sasuke in the past, but not the Sasuke that exists now, before he and Sasuke exchange attacks again.

this fight so far has been shit I wanted a long fight showing both naruto and sasukes skills naruto fight sasuke and his normal sharingan with sage mode at first then naruto or sasuke start winning they start getting serious sasuke activate ems naruto nine tails chakra mode. they use some techniques then upgrade again susano and tailed beast mode. they fight for a minute. the rest of the fight could be sasukes rinnegan susano and naruto with his new mode. That's how I imagined it. a fight with taijustu and ninjust to show there real development.
it will be drawn out more in anime usually like that

anyone else feel that kishi is writing like the other tailed beasts dont matter? Im fairly irritated that they only have been used in these fight so minimally with naruto. As naruto matures as a jinchuriki he learns the many benefits of doing so; having extra chakra is a minimal side affect of this. i would have liked to see the pieces of the tailed beasts working together to help Naruto in his fights. an example would be having them take over a shadow clone having them all fight using the tailed beast shroud.

just saw this one and i must say it was a big let down, i mean first off the fight is so freaking rushed and it's amazing that both of the shots they threw cancelled each other out and now they are both out of chakra. I mean how can that be when sasuke can freaking absorb all 9 tailed beasts and naruto can go sage mode? Anyway they start fighting using taijutsu and it's about a tie which is a damn joke when sasuke should be a much better fighter than naruto and then sasuke absorbs the chakra that the kyuubi was about to give to naruto with the rinnegan powers which sasuke should have fucking done earlier but oh well, next chapter maybe something better will happen
What are you talking about? This chapter was really great in my opinion. Forget fancy Jutsus and superpower. This one was pure hand to hand combat with them beating each other up till they were battered and bruised. And best of all, it was more action, less talk no jutsu. Yeah, I hope Sakura doesn't interfere. My prediction, or biggest hope, here is that Sasuke ends up being unable to deliver the final blow to Naruto, realizing that no matter how much he told himself that he'd do, he can't bring himself to kill the one he considered his one and only friend.

sauske should have been dominated by naruto in taijutsu simply because naruto should be way faster. sure his eyes and short teleport should close the gap but when you add narutos sage mode where he can sense attacks sasuke should be overwhelmed. but kishi is a fucking troll
